I am very irritable, mucus discharge increased as have BHs so am thinking and hoping that labour is imminent. Did anyone else have signs that they were shortly going into labour?

My maternity jeans fell apart, and I emptied the laundry basket for the first time in three years. Grin

Good luck!

The painter had finished painting the windows after 3 weeks of work and I turned to my husband and said "Well now the painter's gone, I guess the baby will arrive".

My maternity leave started, 3 weeks before my due date Sad - didn't even have one day off to myself!!

Also I had a nice nap thinking how maybe labour wouldn't be so bad after all so I finally felt a bit chilled about it all, and within an hour of waking up, my waters went and the rest was history..

Woke up with squeezing pains. They got progressively more painful within an hour or so. I had had a sweep though which the doctor said had clearly been very successful so was expecting it.

Good luck Bradyboo.

I had no warning at all, just felt really tired that day and got annoyed with myself because I had loads of housework to do and couldn't motivate myself to do it! Went to bed that night and my waters suddenly popped and ds was born 4 hours later Grin

Had period like cramps for several days beforehand. The day I went into labour I had really crampy pains for a while in the middle of the night, but then had the best night's sleep I'd had in a while, so...? Later that day my contractions started, although for a while I thought they were braxton hicks even though they felt a bit different (for me they were a cross between bh and period cramps) and were every 5 minutes, like clockwork!

I could barely walk!! My latent phase beforehand (when I first went into hospital) was nothing! I thought that was it, I was sent home with painkillers. I returned the following night and the midwife smiled as she saw me grimacing down the corridor and said..."Ah yes, now this looks like we're on!".

my nesting reached a peak - embroidering our initials on the duvet in case they got lost at the cleaners.
yes so bored, I had to have the baby then...!

Had a sweep at 8 days over and I was already 3cm dilated. No symptoms whatsoever. First contraction 10 hours later.

I was just crouching down to put a new toothbrush in my hospital bag (Mum having insisted that I wouldn't have time to grab mine from the bathroom), felt a distinctive little "pop" and left a pool of amniotic fluid on my bedroom floor...

Had a very energectic day, had booked haircut, organised to see a couple of new BF mums who needed advice - all for the next day. I went into to be monitored that evening- was sent home with a see you in 2 weeks and 2 hours later I was back and had DD within minutes of arriving.
