I am getting so frustrated...

I am only 40+1 and am feeling really frustrated.

I keep on looking for signs of labour but they are not there (apart from braxton hicks and tiny show on saturday).

I am so desperate to look for signs of labour and all I am feeling is a vague sense that something will happen soon (in the next two weeks I will definitely have a baby). Is there anyone out there who actually went into labour without many signs or warnings? Or does everyone get some warning?

You could go into labour with no warning but the chances are you will get niggles and confusing signs.

Try to plan treats for yourself over the next couple of weeks, things to provide brief distractions from the 'watched kettle' feeling.

Second but with my first I was induced, so I have no idea what it feels like to go into labour naturally.

I think the answer is yes - dancing girls with placards would be nice.

Must be soon surely?
Show and BH sound very promising.

I'm 39+3 with DC2 and feeling extremely impatient. DS was born at 38 weeks and I naively presumed this one would arrive early too.

Have had intermittent grumbling period pains for a few weeks and am feeling huge and pelvis is much more uncomfortable than last time, so don't feel I'm able to do the frantic nesting / cleaning and swimming etc I did last time.

Good luck

I have been having intermittent period pains today actually. Hmmmm - I guess 2 days over isn't much really. Thank you for your replies.

38+4 with my first and having on and off period pains. It took me an age to get pregnant due to PCOS so reckon bubs will arrive when he/ she is good and ready so not stressing it. But it WILL arrive. Grin

Good luck!

40 weeks here and no show. Have been told I'll have a c-section next week if I haven't had baby by then. I was induced and had c-section last time, nearly 2 weeks early so have no confidence that I will go into labour naturally.

Had 4 hours of BHs last night. Thought I was in labour. I went to hospital and the iatrogenic effect of being there seemed to stop them completely. Today a few little twinges but nothing exceptional.

I am actually going to try and not think about it (if that is possible).

Matana & Again - Good luck with everything.

I'm so happy. 15 hours of labour including 3 hours of agony but it was all worth it.
