Child doesn’t like his CAHMS therapist

Does anyone know what to do if your child isn’t happy with their CAHMS therapist?

DS has just had 3 assessment sessions, doesn’t feel comfortable with her, doesn’t trust her. Is in bits about seeing her tonight. Therapist’s take is he should only go to therapy if he wants it.

DS wants therapy, just not with her.

My dealings with her have made me feel uncomfortable too.

I know CAHMS therapists are as rare as rocking horse shit - don’t want him to fall off the list with no support

What on earth do I do?

Contact someone higher in the service and ask for advice. When my daughter's CAMHS psych discharged her, she said that if she wanted to return, she was welcome to ask for some one else.
