Do Hens Have Dandruff???

Hi my hens seem to be leaving flakes around, has anyone had this before? Its like dandruff??? They have a free run of the garden so unsure of the amount!!

Mine flake away quite happily. I didn't notice it until I bought a small wooden coop and found that whenever I cleaned it out, there was a dusting of 'dandruff' on the floor.

I think it's when they grow new feathers, if you look they seem to be in a sort of white sheath when they first appear.
