Lost rooster, help!

We got a new rooster today. I left him with my husband who then struggled to catch him, and when he was trying to essentially chased him into the field behind our house, which is full of very tall corn, it's impossible to see more than half a foot in front of your face clearly.

The rooster had only been with us for an hour, so behind going to naturally return to his coop. Is there anything I can do to try to get him back? We have been looking but it's like a needle in a haystack.

Could you get some hens to parade up and down to attract him back?
