Fox!

Broad daylight - suburban garden - Sunday - me in the kitchen.

Fox jumps out from the border and grabs one of my hens.

Managed to get out there and kick it until it let go and ran off.

Waiting until things calm down before I can examine my poor hen. Fox grabbed her firmly enough to drag her into the bushes so although she looks ok from a distance I'm holding my breath.

Suddenly thinking my new walk in run isn't such an extravagance. They'll be staying in there from now on!
