Do they come in 3 sizes, "standard", bantam and miniature? Or is it just the two sizes, and the standard is the size of a bantam in other breeds.

(That's terribly written. Spose it just might make sense).

I thought there were two sizes - standard and bantam. The standard are a bit smaller than most full-size chickens. Someone else may know better though!

Two sizes;

Large fowl; Male (up to 1.8kg) Female (up to 1.36kg)

Bantam; Male (up to 600g) Female (up to 500g)

L/F Silkies are classed as a light softfeather breed so they're a smallish chicken.

Standard refers to the characteristics of the bird - i.e colour, feather appearence, comb, feet, skin colour.

OK, thanks both.

A breeder I spoke to said "do you want miniatures, a lot of people get confused about sizing in Silkies?".

What are these miniatures then? I suspect some people call the LF bantams and the bantams miniatures, and that's where the confusion lies. What d'you reckon?

You're probably right- the L/F size are about the size of large bantam at the lower end of the spectrum.
