My little one is ten weeks and so far we have been getting by with the boots free bag but its driving me mad now. It's too small and not waterproof, which means I have to stash it in my small shopping bag under the pushchair and then I have no room for anything else.

I'd like a lightweight, biggish bag that I can strap to the handles of the pushchair but also carry quite easily as a shoulder bag. I've looked at and like...:

  1. JJ Cole 'Mode'
  2. pacapods - mainly fabric ones as the leather ones seem super heavy
  3. babymel - the satchel, Amanda and big slouchy

In tems of feeding I'm breast and bottle feeding so space for bottles would be good. I also hoping o start using reusable nappies so a good amount of room for those would be advantageous.

Do you experiences of using these bags bottle feeding and using reusable nappies?

    TIA

Just use an ordinary daysack/small backpack. Cheap, machine washable, loads of room, leaves your hands free, can be slung on buggy handles. If you lose it, no biggy.

reusable nappies take up a bit more space, but generally not shocking (unless you want to carry a dozen around with you!). You will need a wet bag for the dirty nappies, but that won't affect your choice of changing bag. Don't know if that helps!

I FF and had cloth nappies. First time I had a Cath Kidson bag which was awful, heavy and v small interior space. I replaced it with a Caboodle rucsac, but the parent pocket was v small and the main zip broke, twice. First time I got a repacement, second time a refund.

With DC2 (and obvioulsy still had DC1) I got a North Face Courier Bag, like this. It's spot on.

I like the look of the Storksak messenger bags, the coral is pretty for summer. Price is more reasonable than the leather ones
