Caring for elderly relatives? Supercarers can help

Carers

Is there a good catalogue for gadgets/furniture that helps the infirm etc?

My GPs-in-law are getting increasingly infirm and I think would benefit from some equipment. They are not interested in carers/home help as GM feels she would have to make the house spotless before each visit so getting someone round to assess their needs is not easy. Thought I might get a catalogue delivered to them anonymously as they have no idea what helpful stuff is out there.
Cheers

Ooh thanks, those DLF factsheets look good too, will print some off and get MIL to leave them lying about strategically.

To make sure its appropriate why don't you suggest that the Community Occupational Therapist comes & assesses what they actually need. They may be able to get certain equipemnt on the NHS and therefoe there would be no cost.
Contact the OT via their GP surgery explaining what the difficulties are.
Hope this helps.
