Caring for elderly relatives? Supercarers can help

Wanting to offer respite care - how do we go about it?

In married, in my 40s, 4 healthy, happy DCs. DH's brother is severely disabled and a big part of our life. He knows from first hand experience how great 'a few hours off' from caring for a disabled child can be for a family. I'm in primary education, loads of experience of children and child development. We don't have the time or facilities to offer foster care but would love to do respite care - a few hours every fortnight or so - to a disabled child.
Do any of you know if this is feasible? And what's our first port of call? Social services? Thanks!
Merry Christmas!

Yes it is feasible, try social services, depending on where you live people might be able to refer you to specific organisations.
