Group 1 2 3 Car Seats with Isofix connections

Hello,

Looking for a Group 1 2 3 car seat with isofix connections. Have a maxi cosi pearl just now for my son who is 3.5 yearsold. Looking at the maxi cosi titan as it has a builtin isofix base and can get ir for £200.

Anyone recommend a good group 1 2 3 car seat with isofix connections? My wife thinks isofix is essential hence the stipulation.

Thanks a lot.

Our Recaro Monza is so good we bought another. It was the top scoring forward facing sest for safety from Which when we bought it. 160ish from Halfords.

The Recaro Monza nova is the same seat without the bar, so unsuitable for under 2, but easy to mix up.

How much does your son weigh? Because if he's getting close to 18kg, a 1/2/3 wouldn't be the right choice at this stage.

Is there any reason why you're changing from the Pearl? Because if it's not outgrown, you would be better using it until it is outgrown and once he's at least 4, getting a decent high back booster. That should also be a lot cheaper than the Titan.

If your Pearl is outgrown then like I said, a 1/2/3 is no good for you. You'd need a 25kg seat if you want him to stay harnassed (recommended until at least 4-4.5yrs)

I think isofix can only be used up to 18kg so when they're bigger, you have to use the seat belt (and sometimes tethers) to keep the car seat in place. I'm not sure what group it covers but I have a Britax Two Way Elite at the moment that is great and very simple to install.

Like a previous poster, I have a Recaro Monza Nove IS. Two actually, as both of my DDs are still in them. They are superb and have inbuilt isofix connectors (Recaro call them seatfix but they’re the same thing). Use with the impact cushion until they are a certain weight, then child is secured with the seatbelt.

This one. www.halfords.com/kids-zone/car-seats/toddler-car-seats/recaro-monza-nova-is-child-car-seat

We use it without the impact cushion now as DDs are older.

Yeah, just realised that's the right name (Nova, not nove). The version without the bar is the Recaro Monza Nova 2- which would be fine for your 3.5 YO- it's group 2 3 only.

Thanks for all the replies.

Should have added I was looking at group 1 2 3 car seats as we only have the 1 car seat (Pearl) for 2 cars. A change in working conditions now means we need a second car seat for us both to be able to pick up our son from nursery.

Thanks again.
