Which spin/ rear facing seat?

I’m looking for a rear facing seat for a 10 month old weighing 12kg.

Considering:
Joie spin 360
Britax dualfix
Maxi cosi 2 way pearl

To go in a Qashqai+2, must be isofix.

Opinions and pros/cons please

We have the maxi Cosi 2 way pearl for our 3.5 year old. Has used it since about 11 months and still has space to go (he's about 50th centile). He's always seemed comfortable in it and easy to fit and get him in and out.

The Joie 360 would be the best from your list because it's the longest lasting.

However, if he's 12kg at 10mo, an18kg seat isn't the best choice because he probably will have our grown it by about 2.5yrs. Track his weight in his red book to see when he is predicted to be 18kg. At 2.5 he'd still be too young to go into a high back booster so you'd have to buy a 25kg harnessed seat to last until at least 4, so it would be more economical to buy a 25kg seat now rather than have to buy twice. The Axkid Minikid and Britax Two Way Elite are good choices.

If you're on Facebook, the 'car seat advice uk' group is really good for advice from car seat experts. And you can search to see which seats fit well in your car.

I’d echo teaandbiscuits. Both my boys reached 18kgs by a couple of months over two. Way too young for a booster. You might want to consider a belted seat that goes up to 25kg. There are some excellent ones.

We have a 2 way pearl for DD. She’s 4.5 and on the 3rd-9th centile for weight and the 25th for height. She still has plenty room so expecting to keep her rear facing until she’s 5. But she’s pretty little and less than 14kg still. In your case I’d go for a seat to 25kg.

We have the Britax dualfix and love it! DS (3) is not far off growing out of it weight-wise and I am really going to miss the spinning feature when he gets his new seat!
