Work on a New Regulation for Child Car seats is in its last phase. The last phase is to develop the requirements to allow seat belt attached child car seats to be certified.

The information on child car seats isn’t always clear enough to give parents/carers the confidence that they have installed the child seat in their car correctly.

A group of UK industry are inviting you to help us to improve the requirements in the New Regulation, to make fitting a child car seat more straight forward.

You do not need to be a parent or have any knowledge of fitting car seats. We just ask you to give us an hour of your time.

Volunteers will be asked to fit one or two child seats on a vehicle seat, indoors, on a special fitting bench. You will be given a £10 Amazon voucher for your trouble.

The date: 5th July
The Venue: TRL Ltd, between Wokingham and Crowthorne (RG40 3GA).

We hope that this exercise will lead to child car seats that are easier to fit. A well fitted child restraint is a safer child restraint.
