Isofix fix support leg

The car seat won't fit into OH's car using the support leg so we wanted to remove it. Some places online state the isofix alone holds it in place (like the bases that only have the isofix and no support leg) and other sites say the car seat can tip over in an accident, if the support leg isn't used.
But we're not sure how the seat would tip when it's secured in by the isofix points, the same way as the ones without the support leg would do. We obviously don't want to put DD at any risk but would like to know if anyone knows if it has to be used or not?

If the seat comes with a leg then the leg needs to be used.

If it comes with a support leg then it needs to be used . It would be dangerous to remove it and so you probably need to find another car seat that will fit the car.

Not all car seats are compatible with all cars. It sounds like this car seat is not compatible with yours therefore you need to rather change the car or car seat not make adaptations for them to fit together

If it has a leg then it needs to be used. The seat has passed crash tests with the leg in use, it might not be safe without it. Car seats without legs have been tested without a leg so it isn't comparable. If you can't fit it with the support leg you need to buy a suitable seat.

The leg is there for a purpose. It stops the seat rotating too far forward if you crash, without it too much force would be placed on the isofix arms at the back of the seat. The risk would be the seat ripping away from the isofix arms, or the arms coming away from the isofix points in your car.

You need to buy a different seat without a support leg. You could just get a seatbelt-fitted one, none of them have support legs, and isofix is NOT safer than using the seatbelt.
