Stage 1 car seat help!

Our DD is close to outgrowing her stage 0 car seat (Maxi Cosi Cabriofix). We are now looking for a stage 1 car seat, but the amount of options available just makes it so confusing.

It has to be secured with a seatbelt (no isofix), we have a Ford Focus (2003) so must fit in that. I think we would prefer one that is rear facing for as long as possible. Also as my DH picks her up from nursery in his car at least once a week it would need to be easy to switch between cars.

Have seen a couple of seats that may be suitable, BeSafe (iZi Plus or iZi Kid X3) and Britax (First Class Plus). Bit its still all very confusing.

Anyone with any recommendations or advice?

Have done some further research...

...We could get two car seats, 1 for each car. My DH drives a Golf (2008). Was looking at the Joie Stages, but concerned it may not fit in the focus from what I have read.

Does anyone have an opinion on the Triofix Recline? How easy is it swapping between cars regularly?

I think we need something that is either very easy to swap between cars or getting one for each car.

I'm having the same dilemma. DP and I will be sharing nursery drop offs and my mum will also be helping out too. I've heard that at this stage the car seat isn't really designed to be taken out, it's supposed to remain in the car. But this would mean we need 3 and they aren't cheap! I too would like rear facing and our cars have isofix but my mum's doesn't. It's all very confusing isn't it? Hopefully someone will be along with some advice soon...

Look at the in car safety centre website and sign up to Which. It only costs £1 for first month and then you can cancel.

The Joie stages fared badly with Which i believe.

I wanr to get the cybex sirona for DS but typically, its the most expensive.
