Had a pretty bad car crash yesterday (car's a write off) and both me and my dd (18mo) came away without a scratch. I just can't bear to think about how much worse it might have been if she hadn't been in her rear facing car seat, which I would never have heard of it wasn't for mumsnet, and specifically this topic.

So just a heartfelt thanks from me. I'm generally a lurker so sorry if this is the wrong topic to post this in but this is where I learnt about them, and I just wanted to pass on my gratitude.

Glad you are all OK and glad you decided to rear facing your child. I've been campaigning for 5 years. Stories like this and seeing the car seat board fukk of ERF chat make it worth it :-)
