See my other thread re max fix. I have decided to get a FF seat for my 2.5 year old. yes its not as safe BUT he is not comfortable at all and its making journeys stressful for me especially since we i and out of the car a lot for school runs etc and clubs (he is DC4).

So out of 5 point harness and rebound bar which would you get? Which says rebound bar but I have read other articles to the contrary.

Ds is 1bout 100cm and probably about 16kg so a big boy for his age and unfortunately not always cooperative in getting in and out.

Whichever style you go for, your son is not going to be using either restraint for long, so consider a Group 123 seat. He is already within the weight for an HBB seat but not quite there height wise (ideally 105cm) But to buy a Group 1 seat at this stage would be a bit of a waste imo.
Best ones on the market are Kiddy, Cybex, Recaro, incidentally all using impact shield restraint. Best to go and see and try out which style your child is happier with. Personally I prefer the impact shield, but others may disagree.
