Maxi Cosi Rodi Air Protect

I'm looking at getting the Maxi Cosi Rodi Air Protect and wondered if anyone had this seat and could explain to me how it is installed please? (I think I am right in thinking it's not isofix).

At the moment I'm only used to isofix car seats as we have 2 DCs but I will be changing my car soon so that I can fit 3 car seats, and one I am looking at is the VW Touran which I don't think has isofix in the middle seat.

This seat also seems to be one of the narrower high back booster seats, which will also be handy in terms of fitting 3 car seats in! Any recommendations for other non isofix narrow high back boosters gratefully received.

I've got two of these very happy with them. Used them after Cabrio fix with base then Tobi so from when dc were certain weight/height about 3/4 I think.

I have this seat for dd and was very happy with it so bought the same for ds.
I wouldn't say they are very narrow though.
We have britax adventure for our other car which is much narrower seat, although not as comfy as the rodi. I would recommend it though.

You don't 'install' a non-ISOFIX high backed booster, you just plonk it on the car's seat!

You must make sure that you fasten the seatbelt over the empty seat if you are driving somewhere with out the child in it. This is very important to stop it flying forward in huge event of a crash.

I really like the Britax Adventure high backed booster too. I have two, they have narrow 'bases' (as in the bit that touches your car's seat, I don't mean they are on a separate base) and no 'horns' by the child's hips so there is nothing sticking out and getting in the way of you accessing the seatbelt buckles.

Thanks all, especially for explaining that the seat isn't actually fitted to the car in any way! I am so used to isofix, I just assumed all seats (except basic boosters) were installed one way or another! Was sure I'd seen somewhere that one seat attached somehow to the headrest. May well have imagined this though....

I was just having a quick look at seats in halfords today and the Rodi looked narrower than I am used to with the maxi cosi ferofix (which seems to have wide side flaps IYSWIM). Also saw a width measurement of 43cm online for it which seemed narrower than many. Will take a look at the britax adventure as well though as that seems quite a bit cheaper.

I am just wondering how easy/difficult it might be to fasten the middle seat belt, and think that ease of access will have to be high priority as well as the width of the seat.
