Graco Car seats / Vauxhal cars

hi, just been to toys r us and found that a Graco car seat doesn't fit my 2006 Vauxhall Astra. Without the base the seat belt is too short. With the base it tilts the baby forward as my seats dip slightly. Does anyone know if this is right? Has anyone else experienced this? It seems madness that it wont fit such a standard car!!!

Its all very annoying as i have done lots of research on travel systems and both the ones i have narrowed it down to are Graco's (SKY and EVO XT). This takes me right back to square 1.

Yes, it is right - I couldn't have a base for my Britax infant carrier because if the same issue, but luckily I could fit it using just the seatbelt.

Do you have to have a 'travel system'? I never did, I had the Britax car seat and a Mamas and Papas pram. It's better to get a car seat that is a safe fit in your car than to buy one just because it fits on your pram.

Babies are better off lying down in a nice flat pram anyway, and I never found it a problem to have to disturb the baby if they were asleep in the car - they just went back to sleep once they were in the pram and I started pushing it. And vice versa, if I disturbed them getting them out of the pram they soon fell back to sleep when the car started driving.

If you get the graco logico s with base should be fine asthere is a recline feature on the base so can always have it at the right recline

Yes it is common issue with nowadays with parents those who buy a new car but there is no proper arrangement available for small babies due to that many parents are not satisfied with car companies but there is solution that car seats replaced by smaller one for that only some minor changes need to do to adjust these seats you can try in between these two car seats Chicco KeyFit 30 and Chicco KeyFit 22 which latest car seat version available in the market!!
