Car seats

Rear-facing in a Saab?

DD is 8 kg and will soon moving out of her infant seat. We've decided to go ERF and we have an old Saab 9000. Hakon @ carseat.se recommended the Britax Max-Way as Saab seats are deeper and other ERF seats can be too upright and make sleeping uncomfortable.

We live in Switzerland and AFAIK the only stockist where we can try a seat is Volvo (i.e. the Britax Multi-Tech). There is one online shop that stocks the Besafe izi Combi....but only the isofix. You think the UK is behind. We're trailing in the distance here; duvets for new babies are still the norm...

Anyhow, any Saab owners want to share their ERF seat experience?

Also, what are the differences between the Multi-Tech and the MT2?

As robust as it is (and yes, it is built like a tank- just ask the exAudi owner who had the audacity to run into it Grin) DD still needs a car seat.

As trying out the different RF models is not an option for us I'd love to hear what seats other Saab-owners have.

We only have the one car so it won't be moved much and space shouldn't be a worry. But we do drive to the UK at least once a year so it needs to be comfortable for her to be able to have a good sleep.

Unfortunately we won't be back in the UK for a few months.

Looks like it'll be the Max-Way then.

Also infant carrier is fine til 13kg as long as head not at top. May buy you some more time.

Of course! Had somehow got confused and thought her carseat only goes up to 9kg...

At the rate she's growing (I checked today and she's actually only 7.3kg) then we should be able to get to the UK and get to a RF stockist to try them out.

Thank you!

Its a common mistake and confusion. Had to double check it myself before I posted. Least you get some more time to choose.
