I have just purchased the Britax kidfix sict online for our 4 year old grandson. Unfortunately the instructions for reclining the seat are not very clear. Nor am I sure if you need to fold out the spacer bracket on the back of the seat when using the isofix fittings to secure the seat to the car or if you only do this when securing the seat using just a seat belt. I am usually quite good at fitting child seats but this one has me foxed!

If you go to the Britax website, there is a video to explain the fitting. This link goes to the correct page and the video is at the bottom:

We have the non SICT kidfix(that wasnt out when we got ours) but I assume that they fit and work the same way.

To recline it:
Look at the bit where the childs bottom goes and you should see a little slot on the fabric (where back of childs bottom would be).
You should feel a little leaver inside the slot.
Pull up on leaver
You should then be able to slide the base forward or back to your desired possition.

It dosent have as big a recline as the stage 1 seats but its enough to stop childs head flopping forward when they fall asleep. We keep ours in its most reclined possition as this is how he finds it most comfy because he likes to 'snuggle' his head into the head rest wings.

Im pretty sure you only need to use the spacer bit if using seat in NON isofix mode just to help the back of the booster sit flush with the cars seat back.

Many thanks mybootsaremuddy and UKSky for your responses. I have looked at the video but it doesn't show the spacer bit. I was thinking from reading the instruction book that you would only need to use the spacer when fixing it as a non ISOFix seat - So it is helpful to hear that this is your understanding myboots as well. I have just put the seat in my corsa using the isofix fittings and it seems fine so thank you both again.
