We were planning to go to the South of France next easter. Just got the 2006 brodhure in and the earliest any park opens is 8th April.

Anybody suggest an alterantive mobile home gite or apartment, South of France, Lake Garda or Ile de France. I had imagined a nice quite site, perhaps woodland, canoes on the river or lake.

We were going to go to flordia so open to any suggestions for under £1000 all in. Not sunbathing, not desperste for kids clubs but activities for all the family and plenty places to go as I can't sit still.

Thanks

Have you thought of Duinrell in Holland?

Key camp etc go there, next to a great water park and smallish theme park.

Canvas, or you can book direct with the owners, it is an all year round site, and does skiing when it is cold!

Looked at duinrels site as canvas are 8th aswell. Will cost about £750 for 14 nights. Do you get free entry to park all the time wasn't sure from site.

Free entry to the theme park.....most rides are free at all times....note it isn't a real 'white knuckle' park, there are some bigger rides, but it is great for slightly younger kids. You also get 2 hours in the water park as part of the price. The water park is great, with about 12 slides of varying speeds and drops. You can hire bikes and go-karts as well and there are lots and lots of cycle paths.

We have been twice at easter and will be going again next year. It isn't warm! but it is a lot of fun.

Thanks I take it the water park is indoors. Is it more centre parks or butlis/blackpool. We went to Flamingo Land and were very disapointed the animals were well looked after but the rest seemed very run down.

Water park is mostly indoors...there is an outdoor pool that is shut is low season, but still pleanty to do indoors.

The theme park has a fair bit indoors, including a huge round a bout. There are also indoor soft play areas. Other bits are outdoors, but the rain didn't prove a problm for us. they have a web site if you google it

We went to Duinrell at Whitsun and had a great time. It wasn't warm though - I'd take extra bedding if you're going at Easter! There's loads to do in the area as well -windmills, Amsterdam. We stayed in a Canvas mobile but the duingalows (park's own accommodation) looked nicer with their own little garden.

I was a bit worried it would be too hectic but it's in a nature reserve -loads of trees - and although the site's large it doesn't feel it at all. Good playpark as well which is open all the time.

Thanks littleshebear that sound quite good, I worked in Butlins for years and don't fancy a holiday in anything to similar.
