Hi sally, there is a gorgeous one in St David's, overlooking the beach, really central and you can walk to the pub. Another lovely one on Newgale Beach which also has a pub and you're right on the coastal path. Can I come? !!

Bumping for you sallystrawberry. I don't know anything about campsites, but thought I'd help out by bumping!

Don't mention this to anyone but...there is a site at Whitesands (the best beach in Wales).

Contact the St David's Tourist Info and they should be able to help. I'm not a camper (working on DH) but you pass several on the road from St David's down to the beach. A friend camped somewhere nearby - I will ask her when I do the school pick up.
