Can anybody recomend a tent for a family of 4 for a budget of £100?

Or am I asking too much? My Dad has a 4 man tent that we borrowed last year which was fine for our 4 night break but we want to book a 2 week camping trip next year, and thinking of buying our own 6 man tent? Or maybe even 8? We will have a 1 year old and a 2 year old?

Decathlon do some good ones, their Quechua range.

If you don't have a store near you they are on-line.

ebay and patience are probably your best bet-
there are some discount shop sellers on there eg these guys who do auctions for new tents...
or just find a few tents you like and keep an eye out for them...

with dc that young I would recommend side by side bedrooms or just 1 big bedroom, would think 8 probably too big -4/5 fine but if you can get a bargain... then maybe a 6, an 8 will definately be harder to put up esp with 2 small ones running around - hth

Our family of four used this all summer - definitely more fair weather though I'd say... not sure how hard core camping you were thinking.

Good for a family of four

Don't think I'd like it with six of us in there though(!)

I think we would need a tent you can stand in/have a living area in case it was raining really.

HAs anybody seen anything like this I had never seen it till I looked at the ebay link above - it is by the same seller. I have a Ford galaxy and when we camp, I remove the back seats to make space for everything. Does this tent mean the back of the car would be part of the tent? I do like that idea, we used the back of the car quite a lot when we were camping as it is quite big when the seats are out - DD1 loved using it as a play area (she was 18 months when we went).

Are tunnel tents the easiest to put up?
