Try Tollymore Forest Park, near Newcastle. Lovely walks, places for children to cycle. Family campsite. A few years ago there was a restaurant and visitors centre in the park so you could cheat with a few meals if you want to. I don't know if it is still there.

Newcastle is a bit "touristy" - amusements, etc., but the beach is lovely for sandcastles and there are fantastic short walks in the forest park, and even better long walks in the Mourne Mountains. It is also easy driving to various other places to visit, and you could even do a day to Belfast for various indoor attractions, for example W5 (hands-on science museum).

2 weeks is a long time though - weather can be awful up there!

If you want to go further afield North Donegal has the best beaches in the world - most aren't too safe for littlies though.
