tips for camping with a 3 yr old at a music festival

Taking Lottie to the Big Chill. II'll be about 5 months pregnant)
Have a 4 man tent for the 3 of us, best mate in her own tent next to us so she can take all the bags etc in with her.
Have a inflatable double bed.
That's it.

Have camped before but when I was pregnant with Lottie in France at a 5 star campsite, this is at a music festival.

What are the most important things you think i'll need?

What are you top tips.

(PS - I'm pretty laid back and not fussed about eating really healthily for 1 weekend and not hugely fussed about personal hygiene for the sake of one weekend either, just need Lottie to be safe, happy and enjoying herself.)

Thanks, TC x

Where is the Big chill, what kind of audience is it? Have you been to this festival before? I have a bit of experience of festival campsite.

BORRRRRRRRINNNNNNNNNGGGGGGG. Ignore the biddies TC, I think you will have a great time. Can hear dh creaking the garden gate so may have to rush off and pretend to be reading The Times shortly and being interlectual.

I took lots of bread rolls and Philly to Glasto one year in case the food was dire.

Will think of some more.

Cheers skribble, the rest of you are miserable ole moos!!

Now then skribble, it's in August, over my birthday weekend, it's the Big chill festival, so dance music, bands/dj's etc but very child friendly, they have a family camping field and all music at festivalover at 11/12ish.

i think its a great idea TC, DP's family are from near there, quite an entourage laden with kids etc go there everyyear and have done since the children were small. Ill ask them for some tips, but it may be after the weekend. I love eastnor castle, they have a wicked easter egg hunt in the grounds every year.
only think i can think of is how cold it can get at night, we took both boys camping last august, day was boiling but the night was really cold in the tent.

Dh has returned with chocolate for moi so have pressing engagement but:

Suncream
Sunhat
Blankets for cold nights
Ditto jumpers etc
What about a stroller in case she doesn't want to walk about? Not sure though, may be unnecessary baggage.

isn't the big chill very very chilled out (so to speak)...not like glasto at all, and i'd say glasto was doable with a 3 year old, in fact it's the families with kids wot make it imo.

hoxton, congrats, i'm thick and didn't even know you were up the duff!

thomcat, loads of wipes, some fave foods that will travel, some fave toys/teddies for a sense of home and lots of veg all week before so it's ok that she eats only chips for the w/e...

you'll have a brilliant time!
