Anyone still got more camping trips planned ?

We have dried tent out now and washed and cleaned everything and put it away.
Am still slightly hopeful that we may get another weekend (hoping for bit of September sunshine ) but the weather is very cold and wet here so quite that this may be the end of our camping season!

Definitely an autumnal chill in the air here (s.east) and I'm a camping light-weight (despite my layers of natural insulation!). Had a lovely weekend in late September last year though... so haven't given up hope. Think I need a week or two to adjust my mind-set to winter clothing.

Have got a weekend booked around the 18th but am feeling a bit chilly already - hope it warms up again!

Might get 1 or 2 nights with dp to try out our new double snuggly sleeping bag? Don't think it'll be tan hill again though

Nikkid21, where are you staying, Lakeside? We are probably going camping near Devizes in a few weeks, I would be interested in campsite experiences. I grew up there so know the area
but have never camped.

We are going two more times, in two weeks near here (Devon) and then to Devizes for a family thing, only camping that time if the weather is OK.

We almost got blown away last time...it's highest pub in UK and very exposed. Might go to the pub though as it's brill and there's a good campsite not many miles away.

Bell tent arrived yesterday. Haven't put it up yet and I don't think I'll take it this weekend as I want to practice putting it up in my garden before I try it on a campsite . Have never seen tent pegs so big - 26cm long and 2cm in diameter and incredibly heavy. I'm sure I can use normal size pegs.
