Wind forecast

I like the arrows alot, and the colours, and the Beafort scale on the bottom.

I wouldn't want to camp in much more than a 6 (peach tone) myself.

How interesting - I really mean that. Very handy to know if you'll be pitching in a gale or not. [must get out more emoticon]

It IS interesting isn't it and I get out loads

I love the beaufort explanation that a 6 = umbrellas used with difficulty. What a great description.

BF 3 on sea always makes me laugh "scattered white horses". I'm used to the BF scale for sea states but the land one is a whole new world!

I love that. Mind you, though, I have ds2 who is a cloud and wind nerd and can explain any cloud formation, what it predicts and looks around us as we travel quoting from the beaufort scale.

He also is a mine of information on tornado scales (which has a japanese name I can't remember but he can). Useful to have when camping. he will love the wind map.
