I can't get one as no-where to dry, but I do regularly drool over various soul pads and bell tents.

Just seen this on cyber checkout (nothing to do with me - just spotted it from their sale emailO

Thought it might be of use to some-one!

www.cybercheckout.co.uk/p-570-bell-tent-4-6-person-summer-sale-free-pp-.aspx

am sorely tempted!

How much???

MollieO Tue 25-Aug-09 10:02:31

It looks like Riven's lovely bell tent. Can't believe the cost. Unfortunately I do have somewhere to dry it so I am sorely tempted.

OMG I've just ordered one! At that price it seemed rude not to grin. I was sold on the basis that it looks lovely, isn't £450 and can be pitched by one person (helpful Sibley video on youtube). It may be a bit challenging to fit into the car but maybe its time I got a boot rack.

Tent envy!

MollieO Tue 25-Aug-09 18:50:10

Thx DLeeds (not sure my bank account would agree though - it is the third tent I have now!).

No sleeping pods although I suppose I could make something. It is a bit smaller than the standard size - 3m diameter rather than 4 and 2.5m high rather than 3m. Think it will be perfect though for the two of us and bigger than the tent we used last weekend!

Have just been looking at fairy lights and rather like these blush. That site sells a 3m bell tent for £650!

All I need to do is source the bunting!

Am also waiting for a call back to get my tent for £99.99 instead.

MollieO Wed 26-Aug-09 14:36:01

I figure bugs are part of camping! I will look at making a liner for it - from Laura Ashley fabric of course grin. Am also tempted to get a carpet like this.

Old tea towels? Not if you're doing Sunday supplement glamping surely?!

MollieO Wed 26-Aug-09 15:10:15

Spoke to Cyber Checkout and they were very helpful and will refund the difference, so I've paid £99.99 which is really fab and tent will arrive tomorrow by courier.

can we see pics. looks lovely. I would like some solar fairly lights,

MollieO Wed 26-Aug-09 18:54:36

I could do a youtube clip -'Pimp my tent' a tent version of 'Pimp my ride' but I think Outwell got there first with their video grin.

I like your thinking supersal - coordinated bunting and tent inner. Might have to limit my MN time and get the sewing machine out.

Told my mum I was getting a tent and fairy lights and she gave me a 'have you lost the plot' look. Daren't tell her about the bunting etc blush.

gigglewitch Wed 26-Aug-09 18:55:44

Curiousmama Wed 26-Aug-09 19:01:37

MollieO Wed 26-Aug-09 20:54:06

I don't know blush. I will let you know in a couple of weeks.

MollieO Wed 26-Aug-09 21:01:47

It says this on the details

"285 + 5% g/m Cotton Canvas Waterproof 400mm"

It is the same weight canvas as the www.belltent.co.uk one.
