can you tell me what it is?

We are looking for new ones and there is too much to choose from! Not keen on mummy style - so please tell me why you love yours!

Why aren't you keen on mummy style?

I find them a bit restrictive, I like to sleep with my legs crossed with one knee sticking out IFYSWIM. And DH is, ahem, of a larger build and likes to turn over alot.

don't know what mine is - can look it out if you like, prolly a coleman - but main thing is it's a double, couldn't be doing with individual ones and a duvet's too flippin draughty.

Luuuurrrrve mine!!

Got the Tesco ones, they are khaki on the outer withlime green so soft innerds.
They were £8 each but in a sale.
Very warm, very soft and not rustly fabric.

oh god yes...i blardy love my sleeping bag

It's really big and wide...i can turn over it in without flippiing the thing. I can sleep on my side (foetal position) without the bag following me iykwim. It has soft polycotton covering. It has a inbuilt raised area as a little cushion. It has a wide head huggy thing that you could pull tight if you wanted to (but i don't). You can zip off the head huggy bit if you want to too. It's so toasty .

Aaah.

You csn get extra large sleeping bags for people of larger build, your DH might find those more comfortable?

Get a double. Best thing we've ever done - it's so warm we're actually too hot even on really cold nights.

We have the Coleman Hampton and I would recommend it.

This is heavenly

Have used it on a couple of camping trips this year so far and it's just the bees' knees - huge and roomy and toasty warm (and I'm a big wuss...)

Mine is an Astral 250 (Vango I think). Polycotton lining, does not taper - I also hate mummy style - can buy right zip or left zip (or 2 and zip together) always been comfy. Love it!

Thanks for all the recommendations.

I am not sure about a double as, er, DH does suffer from erm wind and the thought of being in an enclosed bag with him does not appeal (goodness what a picture I have painted of him - I do love him really). Or do you mean a double each?

Forexample, we have no room for pillows and duvets, we would have to leave the tent at home .

Goober, that is a bargain, I am just not sure it'll be warm enough as we camp into the Autumn. Now Troutpout that is a sleeping bag I do like the look of, and I like to poke my feet out too. I will see if I can locate an end of season bargain, and hey if DH gets one we alway have the option of joining them together and then who knows . Just one question, will it fit in the washing machine?

Mrs Chemist those do look fab, but a bit tricky to get in and out of, I am a slave to my bladder, but if it had a flap it could be the answer to my dreams!

oh mine is absolutely yummy it's this and team it with a fat airic it is absolutely snugglicious! A bit bigger than your normal bag but worth it! went camping two days ago and although the campsite was not up to spec... i managed to get in 2 perfect hours of sleep.... before dd2 decided to give me hourly wake up calls... and in the end... plenty big enough for her to snuggle up with me... !!! Fab!

That looks a good price bea for a big bag. DH couldnt complain about that! I yearn for a fat airic to make my camping sleeping experience complete - its on my Christmas list. Ah bless your dd2, last year when my dd2 was 18 months she ended up in my sleeping bag but its such a tight fit I was worried the feeling to my arm would never return! I spent most of the night unable to move, but at least she got a good nights sleep . She is much better at sleeping in tents now thank goodness.

ah! dd2 is 2 and as soon as she crawled into my bag fell asleep and i just lay there, scred i would wake her up... dh in the morning crawled into my bag (with fat airic) and had to admit that my sleeping arrangement, coleman and fat airic, were far superior to his! mummy sleeping bag and crappy Gelert mat (bought years ago!!! and rubbish!)... just bought him a fat airic for the next camping trip!

Lucky him, I do so want one, but a new sleeping bag has to come first methinks. Definitely on my Christmas list. I have a Karrimor mat which isnt too bad and DH has an Aldi one which he likes, but I just know a FA will really make the week long trips more bearable. I like your style, making sure you are comfortable first and then letting DH have a taste - hope he appreciates his FA
