Looking for August B/H, lots already fully booked - so it appears everyone else is too!

Must have -

Pitches for caravan and tents.
Nice loos and pref. family washroom
Play area
Fairly quiet
Elec hook up

There must be somewhere...right?

Hello Tobermory - we had a good chat last year about oesteopaths and physios!! (you live very near to me!!)

I imagine that all these I am going to suggest will be full but have you tried

Knights Stainforth just outside Settle (poss the best loos in the North!)
or

Packhorse Farm near Matlock

We went to Edale in Derbyshire at half term and it was the most beautiful place. We stayed at Upper Booth farm which doesn't tick any of your boxes apart from being quiet!!

Hope you find somewhere!

Fatzak, I remember...hello!

Thanks for your suggestions. We're going with friends so am feeling the pressure to choose the 'right' campsite!

'possibly the best loos in the north', high praise indeed!

Is Pickering too far out for you? We went to Vale of Pickering for the May bank holiday and really enjoyed it. Loos are good and v. clean, excellent kids play area, big field for ball games, etc. You do need to use the car to get about though, as it was quite a trek to the nearest village.

We struggled a couple of years back to find a site in Derbyshire... can't remember the name of the place we ended up but I wouldn't really recommend it anyway! It was very basic and very exposed to the elements - not good in gale force winds and torrential rain!!

Hi,

We stayed here in May. It was lovely, bit expensive but as it was the first outing with new kit it was great to have shop, restaurant etc on site.

There are a couple of nice sites in Hulme End.

Barracks Farm. No electric hook up though.
