Can anyone recommend a good family campsite in the Cote d-Azur or not too far inland (Provence?)? I'm specially looking for one that might have pre-erected tents.
Thanks.

canvas holidays do several along the cote d'azur. also key camp and eurocamp.

check out their websites. they all have mobiles and tents ready on site.

When were you thinking of going. Cote d'azur coast line roads are jam packed in july aug. but we still love it.

we loved L'Etoile d'Argens

when we were kids, it has grown and it very big now, I think now quite popular with Brits.
Last went there 6 years ago, still very nice though.
I think Eurocamp or similar have tents there.

Going last week of August. I've looked at the Eurocamp website and found availability at the La Baume campsite. Anyone been there? Another review website has very mixed views on this - 'too big and shabby' or 'great for families'... We'd only be staying for about 4 nights as we're combining with a stay at my in-laws apartment.

have not been to la baume, but it would be one that I would consider. Lat week in august is a fantastic time to be down there. The french have returned to work and the campsites are much quieter. Therefore the best restaurants etc are also less busy. Plus the weather is still hot. I have always had great weather on the cote, no matter when we have been, but go a bit furthe round towards spain on the coast and you can get a fair bit of cloud from the pyrenees.
