Vango Icarus 500 v Vango Orchy 500

Right - I was all set to go with the Icarus 500, when I realised I am not sure whether it has a dividing curtain in the bedroom - I thought it did, but now, looking at it again ont he Vanog website, it looks like it doesnt - does anyone have one and can advise?? Feel like that curtain is quite important to have option of seperating DCs (!) so might end up going for the Orchy instead if so. If anyone can help I would be very grateful!

This is so helpful, thanks so much. Is this the same way the dividing curtain attaches in the Orchy tents - did you look at them? I wonder why the Vango diagram doesnt have a dotted line on the floorplan of the Icarus, but they do on the Orchy?

So it definitely actually completely seperates the one big room into two rooms where if DD was sleeping in one bit, she couldnt see someone in the other bit? Sorry to labour this - but this will probably be the decider in whether we internet buy it or not! (Given I cant find anywhere to look at it without!!) Really appreciate your help!

i have an orchy and can confirm that the curtain is attached by toggles... so it can easily be remoived completly or just untoggled and you could get through easily etc

she would not be able to see through the curtain...

(but if you had a light on she would be able to see your silouhette and also if you had a light on in your half, i expect it would light up the other half too)

the curtain is not attached at the bottom of the Orchy one (we have last years 600) so any crawlers can just crawl underneath, so we don't bother to us it and just have it as one big bedroom for the 4 of us.

Thanks everyone - really helpful. I am OK about the curtain I think, and that it is probably the best of both worlds with two little DC. But I am now actually thinking about the Vango Tigris 600. Its seems to be the same set up, just with an extra bedroom if needed. Its a bit more of an outlay now, but with the second sleeping pod I think it may last us longer, giving the flexibility of an extra bedroom as the DCs get a bit older. Anyone got any experience of these? It is so hard to find a place to actually go and view these tents - so if anyone knows of anywhere in SE London/Kent where these Vangos are on show I would be very grateful to know!
