outwell hartford xl vs michegan

anyone got one of these? we have a colorado (i think) fancy a sig now and also a porch. dh wants pod bedrooms, looked at diablo which is great but like the windows of these two. can't find anywhere which has them up and really dont want to spend the cash till i've walked round them. what is the diff betw them? would be for 5 of us at the mo, poss rising to 6 if i get my way!

Where are you based? I've seen the hartford erected in a few places.

we are just on the edges of nw london. we are camping in dorset on the bank hol. thought there might be bigger places down there that might have them up. we have moved on to the hartford xl vs xxl after having a look on a campsite forum. saw the diablo which a coupel of friends of mine have at a camping expo. was impressed but wanted more windows which xl seems to from 360 degree view on outwell site. also liked the coleman a lot but v heavy and costly in comparason.

I'm not going to help much either. We were thinking of a Hartford xl, but have just bought a Dakota 8 - still Outwell.

There's 6 of us and we really liked the Hartford - had decided on it and then went to another camping shop the following day and saw the Dakota. One of the pods in the Hartford was smaller than the other 2 and we wondered whether this would be an issue as the girls get bigger (currently 5 & 2). Boys had already asked for one of the bigger pods (they're 10 & 8). I think we looked at the Michigan, but it didn't beat our original first choice of the Hartford.

We loved the open feel of Dakota - I find tents rather claustrophobic, so loved all the windows on the Dakota.
