Just trying to think of some different things!

We usually take a chilli or spag bol to warm on the first night with rice. We have burgers. Tuna pasta. Toasted sandwiches (with toaster). Toast. Fried brekfasts. Beans etc on toast.

We have a stove, and a George Foreman type grill thing with a flat bit for eggs etc on.

Can anyone gove me any other ideas for a change.

Have thought about making pancakes. Pork chops.....

Marks and Spencers tinned chicken curry is very nice with rice

We have done BBq with kebabs and all sorts of bits. I like corn beef hash but our friends do not! We have 9 of us to cook for (9 children)

I usually marinate some beef, peppers, mushrooms and anything else in the bottom of my fridge and take it in a big sandwich box along with some kebab sticks, we have fun threading everything onto the sticks then cooking on a disposable bbq. I make up a cold pasta or rice salad to go with it.

I also make a big quiche which is tasty cold.

Hot dogs with onions and ketchup?

We take a giant disposable barbecue and frozen homemade burgers, pre-cooked good chipolatas, chilled vege kebabs and bread rolls to suit.. This makes one good meal, and a bit of an occasion. Also, miminal washing up! If the kids will go and get wood to keep the barbecue going, it also makes a great camp fire for the evening.

Fahitas (or however you spell it) work well as people can choose which bits to have.

We've had pizza delivered one trip. Was a bit disappointed that it was only to reception and not to our pitch .

When we go with friends we have one night when we have a selection of cold meats, salad and french bread. And we do some of those stir-fry potato things in longlife packs.

sausage casserole. great one pot food

we take dried soup to make a tasty sauce - just don't rehydrate too much (but perhaps you are car camping nor hiking camping?)

Actually - a baguette, a camembert, a pate, a bottle of wine, a corkscrew and a spreading knife. Job done.

Oh yes! Camembert cooked in the little wooden box on the barbecue and then chunks of french bread dunked in it. Flippin' gorgeous.

We take a bolognese sauce for the first night and have with some pasta. We also take something like curry frozen in a tupperware dish, which stays in the cool box and acts like a big ice block for the next day's brekkie and lunch stuff. After that its defrosted enough to heat up for that evenings dinner.

We usually also take a disposable barbecue and just go buy some steaks etc for the following night and have with some flavoured rice and salad. We'd also usually eat out at a local restaurant or pub one night too.

Ooooo I'm so looking forward to going camping again!

We've been practising at home making calzone pizza on the barbecue - wrapped in foil with extra sauce on top when baked. Not quite perfected the dough but filling was yum. Don't know yet if I'll be brave enough to do it when camping! Got the idea from Cool Camping Cookbook.
