Camping

I'm after a tent recommendation (yes, I do know it's February...)

We borrowed a tent from the lady next door (Scout leader)last summer for a mini-rock festival type thing - dh's band were playing.

We'd originally intended to use our two pre-kids 2 man dome festival type tents (me & dds in one, dh & ds in t'other) but having one big, 5 man tent was obviously much better.

Dh has been booked again to play, & keen to do more camping with the kids as we had such fun last time.

So, we're after something that will comfortably sleep 5, is easy to put up (preferably single handed), & is relatively cheap as will probably get used 3 or 4 times a year.

Any suggestions? TIA

Would rather like one too. Esp the 'cheap' bit.

apparently Vango do good tents. Not a camper myself but a friend was recommended this brand...no idea if cheap or not but worth a sqwizz?

They don't make the one we have anymore but it's a Gelert Cadiz 5 and I can put it up by myself (with a very small amount of assistance from DD1 aged 9 at the time)

It has one bedroom and a smallish amount of living space but fine for a weekend.

Having a look round throws up the Gelert Cadiz 5+2 which has a separate sleeping bit at the front that you could use for storage and it's fairly cheap.

Sun Valley 6? We have the eight man (more of us) and it is a Throughly Good Tent; we'r the sort that camp a lot and expect eprofrmance so if you can stretch to it, I'd definitely give it a go.

Otherwise Vango, Outwell, Khyam etc etc- all do you fine. We've had a Kjyam before that would suit- will getlinks to both

we had the ontario 8, DH could put it up alone

The sun valley it seems is no more- only produced for a year! - would posibly look at the Outwell site though, yiou will find something that suits

If you can buy quickly, a lot of last year's models are currently in the sale prior to this year's models being launched, so some good prices around
