We booked the ferry ages ago, and we really need to book accommodation now.

Last year we went (along with half of Mumsnet) to La Garengoire. It was great, and the DC had a wonderful time meeting other teenages, fishing, playing table tennis etc.

They're desperate to go back, but DH and I would like to go somewhere within walking distance of a town with more eating options.

I've looked at the site near the waterpark in Hollandm but reviews seems mixed. Lots of people love it, but lots say it's busy and Butlins-like.

Where can you recommend? Here are my criteria.
6 or 7 hour drive from Zeebrugge
Warm in early July
Good for teenagers
Within walking distance of nice restaurants.

I know it's a tall order, but I'd really appreciate any help. Thanks.

Duinrell - near the hague. We went and it was fab. My DCS are little but there were plenty of teenagers ahving a great time. You can ignore the Fairyland bit!! My friend took her DCs as teenagers and they keep asking to go back.

We went to a small site in the Vendee this year with Matthews Holidays, and weren't expecting too much as it is very French & only 2 small English companies go. However, because of that, the English Teens all made friends and hung out playing Table Tennis & Pool etc every night.

The campsite was RIGHT on the edge of the sand-dunes and you could walk to a small fun-park (aimed at younger kids but the Teens spent a whole day there and we stayed home alone!!) and also walk to a few bars & restaurants.

There was also an inddor pool with a flume (as well as outdoor pools).

If you don't want a huge site with organised clubs it was fab.

Leslaki, it's good to know that the teenagers liked it.

Milliways, that site looks great. We went to that beach almost every day last year and had a great time on the surfboards. It's a lovely town, AND I can get 2 weeks for the price of one at the start of July!

Decisions, decisions...

Duinrell does look fan for the Teens, mine want to go one year.

If you like the site I linked to Carisma are the other compamy that go there - but they call it Brem not Bretignolles (it is actually between the 2 towns) if you want to compare prices. OR you can book direct here
