Recommend Me A Trailer Tent Please

We are thinking of getting a trailer tent, not quite sure what the budget will be but should be reasonably good and will look to get one second hand, have looked at the conway and peninne ones on ebay,

what are pro's and cons of trailer tents, what would you recommend and advise

We have Trigano Oceane which we got second hand on ebay. Pros - the middle trailer bit is very easy to put up. Much more comfy than a tent. Loads more room and can cook inside which is great on wet days. Lots of storage space too in lockers. Cons - awning is a bit tricky and long winded to put together - we had no instructions and a few poles left over!Also our canvas was a bit leaky and will need weather proofing next year which is a bit of a palaver. Very easy to tow as relatively small, but you do need to get used to driving with it and have to park with caravans on service stations. We're really happy with ours - no major drawbacks so far.

Thanks, I will have a look at those, I dont actually drive yet so am hoping it will just seem normal if I learn to do that at the same time lol

We have a Dandy which is made of PVC so you don't need to worry about drying off canvas when packing away - you just wipe it down a bit with a towel.

Main bit goes up in 10 minutes and we have a Khyam awning which goes up in 5 mins, plus pegging. We got it in May and only made it away once but it is currently a playhouse/office/spare room out in the garden. Will be very sad to pack it away for the winter.

We had a Jamet Arizona which was a bit too much for us to put up - was a 6/8 berth and had a massive awning and gazebo attachment.

Trailer tents are comfy though and you do get lots of space. DH always towed and found it easy to handle.

We had to go for caravan though in the end due to health reasons
