Camping

Site/weather dilemma

We want to go camping for the week starting tomorrow. I've spent hours on the net/ringing round and have found two possibles.

One site can have us for the week, but it's not the most 'exciting' of sites. Lovely for a weekend, but a bit soulless. There is no play area, little free space for running around, but spotless loos, underfloor heating, good drainage etc. We've been before, couldn't fault its orderliness/cleanliness but....

The other site sounds gorgeous, but can't have us until Tuesday. They have a play area, woods to run in, dog-sitting, outdoor heated pool etc etc. But the owner described it as 'boggy' but would hopefully have dried out by Tuesday.

What would you do? Comfortable but boring? Or More exciting but possibly a bit damp underfoot? Also, do we have a few days at the first site, then move, but that's the hard work option?

We can't decide! Help please!

If you want to be away for the week - just move from boring campsite to fun campsite on tuesday. That is one of the benefits of camping! You can move on!

I would go to the boring one, then if the weather is nice and the other site has dried out, move on Tuesday!

Thank you for your answers. Think we will try to do both, although I've already provisionally booked the first, more boring, site for the full week, so don't know if we could weasel out of it tbh. But it would be a shame to miss out on staying at the lovely tree filled site.
