Has anyone used 'Ready Beds' for their DC when camping? are they any good?

We normally use blow up beds and sleeping bags, but had to throw away all our sleeping bags last year and also one of the air beds had a big hole so we threw that away too!

I was just wondering if the Ready Beds were any good or if we would be better off with 'proper' airbeds and sleeping bags

TIA

we did last year at a festival -

we struggled with airbeds as he rolled off, as he was two,

we are going to use the readybed for holiday this year

we had the baby in a carrycot
, DS1 in a ready bed and dss (12) and us on airbeds

worked a treat (we rearranged them so he was wedged between our airbeds

thats what i'm worried about too, DS3 is only 2 and just went into a 'big' bed a few weeks ago so does sometimes fall out

I know DS1 and DD will be fine on their normal airbeds its just the younger 2 i was more worried about really - as they were both in travel cots last year so haven't had the bed thing with them yet!

Not while camping, but when in some hotels, staying wiht friends etc. I think they are brilliant for younger children because the blanket bit is built into the bed and the sides are slightly raised so it is difficult for them to roll out (but not impossible!). For a while my dd refused to move out of her ready bed into a proper bed. I think she felt quite secure.

Plus they are dead easy to inflate and are v lightweight and pack down into a small bag. So I vote YES.

we used two ready beds for our dd's (pushed the two together) and then had a sleeping bag unzipped and thrown over the top of them incae they were a bit chilly.

thanks for the replies, i think i'll have a word with DP tonight and get those then

its going to be hard enough to sleep myself as it is being 6.5mths pg without having to get up and put them back in bed too!!

I bought a junior-size ready bed for DS for camping trips and it is great but DS won't sleep in it. So I do (cant make DS dad use it if he is with us, he is 6'4) and find it perfectly comfy if I keep my knees up.
