Thinking of going away when the weather gets warmer in the school hols. Fancy either caravan or camping holiday with kids entertainment on site (dds 5 and 3). Does anyone have any recommendations?? Thanks.

Ah - you have to have your own touring caravan. Might not be what you're looking for.

No we don't have our own camper. We have no car (off road at present ) at the moment and only accomodation is a four man tent!!!! Don't mind paying to hire a caravan though.

we always go through hoseasons when we book our holidays as they are so cheap! We have a week in devon booked (EASTER WEEK) and only paid £175 for it, that non term time and 6 bed caravan, gold star!!

I've heard before that Hoseseasons are good.

The Sun newspaper are doing their £9.50 caravan holidays at the moment. Collect eight tokens from the paper and send off by end of month. Lots of choice all over the UK and abroad. Think they are Haven/British Holidays.

sun deals are ok, but you can get stuck for extra fees, and may not get the dates u want.

misdee - I've heard that it's difficult to get the dates you want before.

I must say that I love Cornwall it is such a beautiful place - we went there a couple of years ago and stayed in a chalet in a holiday park. It was a Westar Holiday Park with the characters Sid the Seagull and Lizzie the Lizard. The kids still have forgotten them! Lovely place but its quite a trek from Poole and dds get bored sitting in the car too long.

If you can, pick a few haven parks that you like and then wait until as last mintue as you can to book it as they are so so cheap then. I have seen some on there for 75 quid for the whole week.

Oooh I love choosing holidays. I've just booked a week in the Easter hols in a cottage at my favourite place in Cornwall - Polperro.

We went to Mullion in Cornwall a couple of years ago. It was wonderful. Visited Kynance Cove and that has to be the most beautiful place I have ever seen. Returning to Cornwall is quite tempting but I usually like to try somewhere different when paying out for a holiday.

Agree about the Sun hols too, often there are lots of extra cgarges. Last year we even found a Haven last minute holiday cheaper than a sun one.

North Cornwall isn't so far. We got to Newquay in 3 hours last year (but we did leave at 7!).

Anyone gone to a Haven park in Wales? Am considering going this summer, probably couldn't book at the last minute though because we would have to get a ferry over, and I imagine they might be booked up if we waited. (I'm from Ireland}
