On offer in Millets

He plans to 'camp' with DD (3.5) in the back garden next weekend. She is really excited.

Any tips to help me ensure they both have a nice night?

an air bed to stop the cold getting into your hubbies bones - my dh did this a couple of weeks ago with ds1 and he hardly slept at all because of the cold ground. Also a torch and lots of stories! And a potty?!

We have sleeping bags already.

DD has seen Peppa Pig camping so gets the idea Also DH is away all week so we have a chart of the days and there is a tent on the day he gets back

Ah, hadnt thought of potty. Good idea. Torch and Jaffa cakes also v. good.

it's really cold at night. Airbed, sleeping bag and quilt on top imo

If it was me I'd have to take my moulded blackout eye mask to stop the early morning sun waking me up - or my face bra as dh calls it

back to the very serious issue of DH getting cold in the back garden whilst DD1 experiences her first night in a tent....

Ok, we have camping mats and I think I have a spare duvet for under the sleeping bags.

Will make sure they have food, torch, potty.
