Camping

Any recommendations for campsites that you don't need to prebook in Yorkshire or Lakes, maybe Peak district?

I've got two weeks off work and nothing planned or booked, I've left it too late to book a campsite but I know there are a few around that don't take bookings (like castlerigg farm, near keswick). Basic facilities is fine, I'm just after somewhere with nice views and good walks nearby, reasonably cheap and within a two to three hour drive from West Yorkshire.
Does anyone know of a campsite that would fit the bill?
Many thanks

Hollows farm Keswick. Cheap, basic facilities, stingily beautiful, next to a river loads of walks and five min walk from cafe with nice cake! No booking, often have d of e trips so get there before them and you’ll be fine

I think I walked past that campsite earlier this year and it did look lovely. Thanks for the recommendation.

Might be a bit late for you OP but I would suggest Cooper's Campsite in Edale Peak district. Cheap and basic but clean facilities, plenty of space. Cafe, pub, fish n chips, pizza place nearby. Its right at the start of the Pennine Way so loads of walking around. We usually turn up on a fri after work and it's never been totally full.
