So I want a tunnel tent, I want one big sleeping area for four of us to snuggle in together and I want a massive living area. I want this for a bargain price.

C'mon campers, help me out with with some recommendations.

By the way, we had a luvverly time camping next to Africa Alive Safari Park in Kessingland, Suffolk. If you like the roar of lions to settle you off to sleep!! Caravan and Camping club site = immaculate, well run, quiet, Loo of the Year 2007 (that made me larf) and spacious sensible showers for families!

It was the seams that were leaking strawb so I don't think spray will help. This was the first year we had a hook up so were nervous of the water and electric combination! Unplugged everything! We've had our money's worth out of this tent and need a bigger one anyway so I'm secretly pleased it leaked ha ha.

Will check out the Gelert one.

You would all have been proud, I was a true Mumsnet camper, eyeballing everyone's tents thinking "ah, so that's a Vango" and "hmm, a Wymaster 8... nice". I was gripped by canvas envy many times!

My budget would be somewhere under £200 Lucycat. I am hoping for a sale bargain.

That campsite sounds fabulous (marks it down for next year possibly)

If its the seams you can get special seam sealant - its very sticky when you put it on and you have to leave it to dry a bit but we found it effective. But I don't expect it would work on your tent

If you can bare (or is it bear my brain has failed!) to wait christmas is a great time to get bargains on tents.

tunnel tents rock! except for the effort in launching one. when we go camping with friends we are like some sort of amish community erecting each others houses.

Like the Ridgeline ones, whiskersonkittens, I have lots of research to do I think!

I agree that the sealant won't work on my tent - I positively definitely absolutely NEEED a new tent!
