Yorkshire coast perfect campsite? Help needed!

A few years ago we we went to an almost perfect campsite. It had very few pitches in a large field so plenty of space. Everyone pitched round the edge as in the centre there was a fire pit with seating and a roof. This meant you could put dc to bed and then sit round fire and either chat to your partner or just pass the time with the few other people there while keeping an eye on your tent for wandering dc. Next to the field was an enclosed play area so dc could safely play, and be seen, while you put tent up/down. There were also a few animals for the DC to look at. DH said he wouldn't go back as it was a very short drive to the coast. He wants to be able to see the beach when he gets up.

Does anyone know a campsite that is similar to the above AND right by the beach AND on the Yorkshire coast? I realise I want everything but there's so many to choose from I thought I'd seek recommendations.

Well depends on how posh you like your campsites but there is a great campsite in Sandsend which is on a farm. You get great views down over the sea, loads of space for kids to play and run around. Decent toilet and shower block but fairly basic. Haven't been there for a few years.
There's bound to be a few decent ones near Robin Hoods Bay too.

Hook House Farm in Robin Hoods Bay is a lovely site. It overlooks the bay at the top of the hill, and has decent showers! We're heading there this weekend.

Thank you for the suggestions. I'm really looking for one with a communal fire pit as I doubt there is anyway left in the country that would allow a campfire!

I'm afraid I don't have any suggestions OP, but I'd be very interested to hear which campsite you're describing please!

My DH is trying to persuade me into camping and this sounds lovely.
