Touring caravan / Holiday Park in South West?

Hi I’m hoping someone can help? We were planning to take our caravan to France this year but I’ve just become unemployed :( so we can’t afford the ferry or euro tunnel price for taking the caravan.
I’m now looking for a touring park that has some holiday park style facilities that will keep the kids entertained (they’re going to be 3 and nearly 6 when we go). I’d love a place with a pool for them and at a push a water slide, and a shop onsite. Play park definitely. Near ish the sea if possible?

Any ideas?

Bummer about your job Flowers if you google Hobourne holidays they are probably what you are looking for we used to go to the one in the new forrest with out tourer. There is a few dotted about the SW, also Haven holidays allow tourers.

We take our tourer to haven regularly. It's not cheap though!

Not all Havens do but most of them and you get all your entertainment passes in the pitch price, I hope you find something Smile

Haven at Burnham on Sea has everything you described but no idea on price for tourers am afraid. Have you tried dub holidays or even looking at a static with Haven as the price difference might not be that much? Would defo recommend the Burnham site though

I spent most of my childhood holidays at Bashley Park in a tourer. So I smiled at the suggestion of Houbourne. Didn't realise they were still going.

Hadn't been anywhere like that for years but took the kids to Haven Weymouth Bay last year. They loved it. Absolutely loads for them to do. Might be more expensive than you think though.

You definitely pay for the facilities at Haven. Not sure we really got value for money out of that.

I live in the Burnham area. Brean has a large leisure park with lots for the kids. (google it) it's free entry and you just buy tokens for rides.
Brean beach is nicer imo than Burnham but they are not far apart.
If you'd like any more info, happy to try and help.

Op holiday resort unity at brean sands is a huge park with loads going on, including both indoor and outdoor pools both with water slides. Our kids loved it.

Have a look at Woolacombe campsite in North Devon. They have everything you describe although it's not particularly cheap.

And Morte Farm in Morthoe (north Devon) is excellent. No swimming pool but a play park, shop, access to a private beach and within walking distance to Woolacombe. Two really good pubs in the village and a fish and chip van visits the site one day a week. Brilliant for kids and very reasonably priced.

Pentewan Sands has a pool and its own private beach, we had a great stay there. Also Mother Iveys Bay has its own beach and another just a few mins walks away- and an amazing huge playground area (but no pool, but hundreds of other kids to play with)

I was also going to say haven. If you're not too fussy about area and are flexible on days they always do last minute offers. We've had great deals - sometimes we've stayed there for £15/night including 4 passes for the pool etc.

I think you get a discount through caravan club as well.
