Uk summer holiday - south Wales or Devon / Cornwall?

We usually go abroad for now guaranteed weather, but die to finances may stay in the UK this year. Looked at Cornwall but I was shocked at the price of pitches ! The sites that appealed also stated that for a week in the summer it was sat-sat and the thought of all the traffic puts me off.
I've heard lovely things about the gower peninsula and wondered if that would be less touristy so as a result less traffic ?

Wales! Traffic is better and it's much less busy. Weather not as good as Cornwall though.

Grower is gorgeous maybe we were lucky we camped for nearly 3 weeks 3 yrs ago, it has is own micro climate and the weather was stunning only 1 bad day , and we paid to go to an indoor swimming pool, where the ids could surf.
Dorset for us this year can't wait

Hmm, I love Wales but we have never had a week of good weather.
Cornwall has been much more reliable, in fact we have a week booked in June :)

I prefer Wales over Cornwall, due to distance of getting there and being less crowded.

We stayed at this site last year in the Gower and would recommend it.

We're looking at Pembrokeshire for this August. I've spent this morning looking at some lovely sites and the beaches look spectacular.

I agree, though, the pitches are so expensive. I keep reminding myself that French sites might be cheaper but you have to factor in ferry, fuel and tolls as well and ignore worries about the weather in Wales.

Definitely check out South Wales- The Gower is stunning (it was holidaying here that made me decide to move to Wales as an adult!), if not Pembrokeshire (St David's area) is also stunning.
