Small (3m) bell tents. Any experience?

My dd has expressed an interest in her own tent, as her brothers are "disgusting". Grin
She has been camping a few times with friends with a spare pop-up but wants a bell tent.

She says now she couldn't possibly sleep under nylon as she is used to our Bell, and she can put up our 5m on her own.

Are the 3m tiny?
Does anyone have any experience with them, or photos of them set up? It's hard to gauge with the website pics.

That did make me smile. Our tipi is 4.5m, more than big enough for three plus a labrador Grin.

I wonder if [http://tentipi.com/safir,en-gb this]] floor layout photo might help - it shows 6 bodies 'sleeping' in a 3.8m tent.

I would go for a small canvas ridge tent just for one or two people, I am still mourning the loss of mine after I sold it and fully intend buying another one.

Thank you, CdeB!

That's deffo food for thought!

I meant to take a pic of the awning I cobbled together to show you btw! My phone wouldn't play though. :(
Thanks so much for your input on my other thread too!
I bought the poles recommended and got a canvas tarp from Germany on eBay. It was a game-changer! Xxxx

Thats lovely Uterus. I bought some more of those poles for our Badminton net in the garden. Grin. I spend hours looking at 'sets' and then had a lightbulb moment, decent poles, pro net. Works a treat!

I have a 3m bell tent and I think there is plenty of space for one person. I put a tarp across the front and keep all the cooking gear and chair etc out there. The only thing that drives me a bit mad is that although you can stand inside you have to crouch to get through the door.

That looks lovely Nanny ..... The inside of our tents never looks like that!

If its just for her, I'd say the smaller the better with bell tents, I've always found them to be pretty cold if theres not enough people in them. :)
