Tips are very welcome.

We will have 3 adults, a 12yo, 9yo and 6yo and we are going to Green Man Festival for a week.

I went camping loads as a child but never to festivals, and all my previous festival going was pre kids.

Just got back from camp Bestival. My dcs are 3 and 11 weeks so a slightly different experience. best tip is be relaxed, beit rules and having a timetable. We relaxed bedtimes and washing so had a very tired and grubby 3 year old. Be prepared to miss acts that you want to see because the children want something else. Take bubbles , glitter, glow sticks, fairy wings etc with you because they are expensive there. Take ear plugs because it is loud at night. Also be prepared to hear young children running about early.
A frozen box of wine helps keep the coolbox cold. Take plenty of snacks for the children to eat because they get really hungry.
Keep the tent organised so you can find, whatever the children have lost.
It is so much harder than normal camping or going to a festival, but completely worth it.

Went Camp Bestival.last year:

Take all the food you can. The vendors know you are at their mercy..Chips, beans & soft.drinks for 4 =.£40.

Power plug. Even if you.are preparing for some switched off time, phones are helpful for staying in touch and photos..We have one that supplied a good few charges of our devices.

Keep yr valuables on you. A good few tent breaks in at Bestival.

Our kids loved the hired trolley the most!

Take lots of wipes & anti bac gel.

Enjoy!
