Any suggestions? We're going to Spain in our caravan but expect it to be hot even at night. Going to take a tent as an option but will it be warmer than in the caravan or colder? Amy tips of keeping cool?

I live in South Australia...which is extremely hot and also dry in summer. Temperatures can reach 46 or even more at times.

I used to live in a house with no air conditioning...the best advice came from my Aussie MIL who said to soak towels in cold water and drape them over chair backs or similar at night....it does have a bit of an effect.

Also, you will need at least one fan....a tent will probably be hotter than a caravan.

If you keep the blinds of the caravan closed all day and yes...it is weird but it helps enormously...and keep the windows shut.

Fans on, blinds down and windows shut in the day and the night keeps the heat out a bit.

Hose the outside of the caravan down if possible...it cools the exterior down a lot.

Wear a thin cotton layer to bed but have only a sheet to cover you. Don't sleep naked it's sticky.

Our Dyson ran ran really well last summer, and we have also bought a 12v water filled cooler that also seems to do a good job, especially if you put ice blocks in the water. transcool.info/

Sorry, dyson fan! Got one in the sales a few years back, also doubles as a heater but a very effective quiet fan.
